The 2018 Maryland legislative session begins in January. NAMI
members must raise our voices together to advocate for crucial mental health priorities.
NAMI Metro Baltimore will offer Smarts for Advocacy, a hands-on advocacy training. Smarts for Advocacy will help you transform lived experience into skillful grassroots advocacy. The training includes a series of 90-minute modules to develop a wide range of advocacy skills.
The training will prepare advocates to participate in the NAMI Maryland Advocacy Day on Thursday, February 22nd in Annapolis. Additional details and registration for Advocacy Day will be available in January.
All Smarts for Advocacy trainings will be held at the NAMI Metro Baltimore office. The training is free and open to the public. Space is limited and advanced registration is required. To join a training, please contact Adminstrative Coordinator, Suzie Brashler or call the NAMI Metro HelpLine at 410-435-2600.
