The Leslie Kassal Book Club
“She reached out from her darkness and gave light and hope to all.”
NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore is proud to unveil The Leslie Kassal Book Club—a shared experience open to all NAMI Metro volunteers and community members who wish to gather monthly to discuss selected readings that explore the theme of mental illness.
Leslie was a beloved and brilliant light who adored reading. Through her mental health journey, she relied on the power of the written word; she believed that to immerse yourself in something outside of your personal trials and tribulations would help to bring you back to yourself.
May The Leslie Kassal Book Club bring strength and fellowship to all who join; may her memory be a blessing.
This program is underwritten by The Barbara and Bentley Kassal Foundation.
