NAMI Metro Now Serves Carroll County

Baltimore, MD – In an effort to enhance mental health support across the region, we’re proud to share that NAMI Carroll County has officially become a part of the NAMI Metro Baltimore network. Our service area now includes Carroll County, deepening our commitment to making mental health resources more accessible throughout Greater Baltimore.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and heart that NAMI Carroll County has poured into serving their community. Their tireless work has built a strong foundation of support, and we’re honored to continue to build upon that legacy.

Carroll County, home to nearly 177,000 residents, faces unique mental health challenges. With 404 residents for every one mental health care provider, the need for free and accessible services is especially urgent. On average, residents report 4.3 poor mental health days per month—highlighting the importance of strong, ongoing support.

As we welcome Carroll County residents into our support groups and programs, we remain focused on meeting these needs with compassion, connection, and care. Our expanded network will continue to offer a range of services, including:

  • Support Groups: Safe, welcoming spaces for individuals to share their experiences and receive peer support.

  • Educational Programs: Trusted resources that increase mental health awareness and help reduce stigma.

  • Advocacy Initiatives: Community-driven efforts to promote policies that prioritize mental health and well-being.

As we grow our network, we invite the NAMI Metro Baltimore community to extend a warm welcome to our new neighbors from Carroll County. It takes each and every one of us to create a space where everyone feels seen, supported, and empowered on their mental health journey. Every voice matters. Every story is important. And no one should walk this path alone.
