On February 6th, we’re joining NAMI Affiliates from all over Maryland to advocate for laws that support mental health. We need YOU with us. And if you’re willing, we need you to share your story so our representatives understand that real people are impacted by the mental health policies on the docket this legislative session.
Step One (REQUIRED): Register for NAMI Maryland’s Advocacy Day Orientation on Tuesday, February 4th, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.
Can’t make it live? Register anyway to watch the recording!
In the Orientation, you will learn about the structure of our virtual Advocacy Day, our priority legislative bills and how you can be a successful advocate for issues that matter most to people impacted by mental illness.
Step Two (REQUIRED): Use the button to the right to register for NAMI Maryland’s virtual Advocacy Day taking place on Thursday, February 6th at 8:00am.
It is necessary for you to register so you can join the virtual rooms with your local representatives!
Step Three (ENCOURAGED): NAMI Metro and NAMI Howard County are partnering to bring you a NAMI Smarts for Advocacy training. NAMI Smarts for Advocacy helps people learn how to effectively share their personal experiences to advocate for change.
